Website for Gilde Blauw Sjuut

The challenge

Since 1949, Gilde Blauw Sjuut has been announcing carnival in the Euregio and has a loyal following of members, sponsors and visitors. Their website was due for a renewal: a more modern look, faster, pleasant on mobile and easy to manage by the board itself, without developer involvement for every announcement or photo update.

Our solution

Together with our designer, a professional design was put together that fits the character of the guild. After approval, the design was developed into a new WordPress theme, with Advanced Custom Fields under the hood so that all page elements can be edited from a familiar admin environment.

Easy management for volunteers

The management team consists of volunteers, so simplicity is essential. Page elements, photo book, agenda and sponsor information are all managed via clearly laid-out ACF fields, without anyone needing to know HTML.

The impact

The guild is back online with a contemporary, fast website that also works well on mobile. Members and visitors immediately find what they are looking for, sponsors get the visibility they deserve, and the board can independently post news and photos around the carnival season.
